For people we contact by e-mail about Shopify development · Last updated: 2026-10-13

If you received an e-mail from us, it's because your company looked like a good fit for our Shopify development work. This page explains what data we hold about you, where it came from and how to make us stop. It covers our duties under Article 14 of the EU GDPR and the UK GDPR.

Who we are

We are independent Shopify developers. We build and maintain Shopify stores, including white-label work for agencies. Emil Owczarek (based in Poland) and Vladyslav Lototskyy are joint controllers of your data (Article 26 GDPR): we decide together how it is used and share responsibility for it.

You can send any request to either of us, and whoever receives it will handle it for both: owczarekemil@gmail.com or vladislav.lototchi@gmail.com.

What data we hold

Business contact details only:

Where we got it

From publicly available sources: your company's own website and public business directories. We do not buy lists.

Why we use it, and on what basis

To send you a one-off business e-mail about our Shopify development services, and at most two follow-ups if you don't reply.

Our legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): offering relevant services to businesses, using business contact details. We keep it to a few short messages and stop as soon as you ask.

How long we keep it

Who processes it for us

We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.

Transfers outside the EU/UK

Google and Cloudflare may process data in the United States. These transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension).

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it or restrict its use. You can also object to our use of it.

You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. Just reply "no" to any of our e-mails, or write to owczarekemil@gmail.com or vladislav.lototchi@gmail.com, and we will stop and delete your details.

We make no automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Poland, the UODO (Personal Data Protection Office); in the UK, the ICO. You can also complain to the authority in the EU country where you live or work.
